ABOUT CASA SPELLATCHI
Casa Spellatchi is modern in design and located 3500ft above sea level in the beautiful Central Region of Costa Rica. Very bright and airy there's no need for heat or air conditioning as the temperature is very consistent all year round.
Just a 5-10 minute drive ($5 in a taxi) and you are in San Ramon the "City of Poets".
Founded in 1854 San Ramon has a population of approximately 11,000. It's located just 50 minutes from the San Jose International Airport (SJO) and it boasts many bars, fashion shops, restaurants, coffee shops and various retail stores. In the town centre there's a small but interesting museum, the local park and the main church. Close by is the central bus station, a few gymnasiums, plus various cosmetic surgeons and dentists. Many people come to San Ramon for a cosmetic surgery vacation. There's numerous banks (ATMs provide both US$'s and Costa Rican Colons) a large general hospital, movie theatre, take out food places and on Friday and Saturday there's a large outdoor fruit market.
Casa Spellatchi is also perfectly located for those wanting to explore and enjoy Costa Rica while mixing with the Hispanic speaking locals. You can enjoy all the beautiful sights while taking in and learning about the abundance of wildlife. The waterfalls, the volcanoes, the rain forests, the ocean. All accessible by car, taxi, or the local bus or tour services.
After a full day of fun you can then return to the peace and tranquility of Casa Spellatchi.
Getting Around
Private Car Rental
Car rental can be very expensive in Costa Rica. The daily rate is inexpensive but when you collect your car there is mandatory insurance and/or a $5,000 hold put on your credit card. We recently found a reliable private car rental company with modern vehicles who only charges you the price they quote.
Book a day Tour
There are many tour companies offering different 1-2-7 day tours to the many sites and adventures of CR. We are pleased to offer our knowledge to assist you with any tours you are thinking of taking. Which National Park? Which beaches? Best sites to visit? Just ask us and we'll give you our honest reply.
Airport/Local Taxi
Arriving at San Jose airport we can arrange for an appropriate size taxi service to pick you up at the airport and bring you to Casa Spellatchi. Likewise we can order you a taxi to take you into town, to the beach, to an attraction. Whatever and whenever it may be we are here to help you with your accommodations and travel.
